Just an update on my life, I've just joined the UW-La Crosse Equestrian Team, and couldn't be more excited about it! We have a 15 person Hunter team and a 15 person Western team that compete in a collegate level in the Midwest area from Madison to Montana.

I'm on the Western team and our girls are headed to regionals in Madison on the 21-22 of Feburary. I'm not competing this year as I have just joined and felt that I could use a few lessons first before I get in the ring! I'm on the Western team and look forward to competing next year!!

A little info on the team: We started two years ago. We are a non-profit organization, meaning we rely solely on donations from private companies and a small grant from the school each year to cover as many of the show entry fees as possible to help drive the cost down for the team. Competitions range from collegate to national levels. We practice on privately own horses. We compete on horses we've never ridden before by drawing their names out of a hat once we reach the competition.
